Tori Spelling is the latest celebrity to speak out on the pressure for celebrities to be thin. A couple of years ago it seemed you couldn't move for pictures of emaciated looking celebrities such as Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan but more recently it seemed that these stars were looking a lot healthier and the size zero debate had been put to rest. Apparently not.
Tori has said that she feels she is expected to stay slim in Hollywood even after having two children.
She said: "They scrutinise you so much. You try to be the person who says, 'Oh, I don't care,' but I feel the pressure. You're out there, your picture is in every magazine. They're looking at you from every angle, no matter what you do. You have to be careful getting out of cars now because they shoot up your skirt. Everything has to look good, and of course, there's pressure to do so. I definitely feel it."
The former Beverly Hills 90210 actress has recently appeared in the new spin off show 90210. The show has been criticised for the tiny size of it's main actresses and reports from US Weekly have suggested that producers of the show are considering taking action against some of the shows young stars, because they have become so alarmingly thin.
Perhaps it is this tiny new breed of young actresses that are piling the pressure on older stars like Tori.
