Ever since we saw pale pink lips grace the runway this season, we've been a tiny bit obsessed with this beauty look, as it's both wearable and on trend for the summer months.
Herve Leger first dabbled with the look for his SS09 show and then we spotted Barbie, no less making her fashionable debut on the catwalk with pale pink lips too.
As soon as we saw the iconic doll sporting the trend, we knew it was a look to be taken seriously for the upcoming months.
Of course the piled up hair and OTT make-up are optional, as we're just going to use her lips as a starting point for this look.
Originally pale pink lips were associated with dodgy blue eye shadow and the 1980s, but that's all changed now, and as we're sure you're aware, that era is back with a vengeance this season.
To update the look for the noughties, all you need to do it ditch the blue and focus solely on your pout, as that after all, is the favoured trend of the season.
The key to getting this right is to make sure the rest of your make-up is barely there, so your lips really stand out. Glossy lips won't work with this look, so it's all about getting the right matte shade.
Simply coat your eyes in one layer of mascara and apply your foundation as normal, only don't add any blush to your cheeks, as you really want to create the impression of a blank canvas.
Now, turn your attention to creating the perfect pout, carefully applying your chosen lippy with a lip brush. We love Rimmel's lasting finish intense wear collection, and are particularly fond of their nude pink shade.
Finally blot your lips on a tissue as normal and survey your handiwork in a mirror. Mwah!
