We're a little bit in love with Penelope at the moment, not least because she finally picked up a much deserved Oscar on Sunday night, but also because she has impeccable style and always looks amazing.
Becoming the first Spanish actress to pick up a gong was one thing, but managing to look breathtakingly beautiful was quite another, which is why we've suddenly sat up and started to take notice of Pen.
She's the obvious choice for a beauty icon really, but she's never really been celebrated in that way at all. She has a gorgeous olive complexion, huge brown eyes and lips that make Angelina Jolie's pout look positively slim line in comparison
We first came to admire Pen's look at the BAFTAs a couple of weeks ago, when she teamed a show-stopping black velvet dress with an elegant up-do and simple make-up.
She topped our best dressed list at the time, and we later came to learn that her gorgeous full fringe was actually a clip-in wonder, making us even more enamoured with the star for opting to change her look at the last minute.
Her make-up too was stunning too, keeping it refreshingly minimal with a bronze eye shadow, false eyelashes and a thin coat of eyeliner to both her inner and outer lids.
She even mastered a little flick at the outside corner of the eye, showing Amy Winehouse just how it is done! Her lips were kept to a basic nude gloss, ensuring her look wasn't too overdone.
Then her look at the Oscars completely sealed the deal in our eyes- she was undoubtedly a beauty icon, showcasing an elegant up-do to be proud of and make-up which gave her a subtle glow on the night.
The only thing which spoiled it for us was her vintage gown, which was all very pretty and princessy, but it also looked like a bridal gown.
You know you've made a mistake when people just assume your getting married, when in fact you're actually just there to pick up an Oscar. Honestly Pen, we would have thought you'd have known that!
