Party season is almost here so Neil Barton, Creative Director of Neil Barton Hairdressing shares his tips to ensure you look glamorous at your office party, even if you’re pushed for time after a hard day’s work.
One trick is to do the prep before work and let your style naturally take shape throughout the day. For example, tie your hair up into a top-knot in the morning whilst your hair is still a little damp and leave to dry naturally. When you’re getting ready for the party, simply undo the top-knot for a natural wave look. Run your fingers through the waves to break them up and finish with a smoothing serum.
Another great way to transform your hair for the party is by adding volume. Spray a little dry shampoo onto your roots and backcomb the hair to create volume on the crown. Pin the hair back with a few grips into a half up, half down style for a great 60s beehive effect.
Why not move your hair parting to one side and add curls in seconds with a curling tong for a glamorous 40s siren look. If you haven’t got time for the curling tong simply plait your hair in the morning whilst still a little damp and undo when it’s party time for a similar effect.
Alternatively, tie your hair back into an elegant twist, wearing it to one side and low on the nape. Give it a tousled finish and add a hair jewel for a gorgeous vintage look that takes seconds.
