We’ve picked a purse friendly buy and a bank busting best-seller to trial run and give you an honest verdict about which will get you more value for money.
Save: Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser
This product promises to keep your skin clear and soft whilst leaving your pores clog free, however for me it seemed to emphasis my pores which is not a feature you want emphasised! But to be honest, that was the only bad thing about this moisturiser. The texture was soft and light and it did keep my skin hydrated beautifully. The smell was another plus point; I expected it to smell quite sour like grapefruit, but it was really fresh and fruity! For £4.99, it’s worth having a bottle in your make-up bag for those ‘just in case’ moments.
Splurge: Clarins Ultra-Matte Rebalancing Lotion for Oily Skin
When you’re paying for Clarins you’re expecting something good, so when I began to apply the lotion to my face and the smell of
hairspray is flooding up my nose, I was less than impressed. After applying to my face and neck I looked in the mirror and realised why you’re paying so much for this product. My skin looked instantly smoother and my complexion more radiant. It gave me a dewy look without looking oily and just made my skin radiate with a healthy glow. Only a little is needed as it goes a long way in making your skin feel hydrated, so you really are getting value for money and paying for a quality product. It’s simply become my must have moisturiser and has secured itself and long-term place within my beauty regime - Clarins, I salute you! Get yours for £24 from Debenhams.
