Mischa Barton has been blasted in the past for her weight, so it comes as no surprise that she has defended her figure in a new interview.
The gorgeous American actress stripped off for a photoshoot with Cosmopolitan magazine, to celebrate body confidence - and says she wouldn't change her figure, even if she could.
"It’s human nature to be self-critical, but it’s possible to like the way you look," she said to Cosmopolitan. "I’m happy now- I wouldn’t change my body, and I couldn’t anyway.
"The only way to be happy and be a more enjoyable person to be around is to embrace what you’ve got. Everyone has issues about their body, but I feel confident now. I’m healthy and happy."
She was famously criticised for her cellulite last year, when pictures emerged of the former O.C. actress taking a stroll in LA.
"Surely there are more important issues than if someone has cellulite? And I don’t understand the point of people looking for bad things. Why bother? I know it’s human nature to want to pick on other people, but I find it a little shallow."
Mischa has since dropped three dress sizes in just six months, which has left her with a dramatically different frame than the one we're used to seeing.
The pictures which emerged of the young star during Paris Fashion Week sparked worrying fears for her health, as the press waded in labelling her as gaunt and skeletal.
It had been reported that she followed a draconian slimming programme to lose the weight, although Mischa credits her new found body confidence to being single.
