Meryl Streep lead the night at this year's Oscars when she won her Best Actress award, and she wasn't the older lady who had heads turning that night too, Glenn Close also turned heads when she stepped on the red carpet.
Both opted for plunging necklines and revealed their enviably wrinkle-free décolletage, as well as showing off glowing and plumped faces, appearing much younger than their years.
"By celebrating and embracing their beauty women in their 50's and 60's such as Helen Mirren, 66, crowned 'Body of the Year' in 2011, Glenn Close, 64 and Meryl Streep, 62, are continuing to dominate the headlines by looking more fabulous than ever," explains Bernadette Harte, non-surgical training manager at The Harley Medical Group.
"At The Harley Medical Group we have seen a rise in 50 years + women booking for non-surgical treatments, with a 17 per cent increase in the past five years across our 31 clinics in the UK and Ireland.
“As you age, your skin loses collagen and begins to sag, fine lines and wrinkles become deeper and more noticeable, pores will appear larger and the surface of the skin will have more of an uneven tone.
"Looking at pictures of both Meryl Streep and Glenn Close at this year’s Oscars, although fine lines and wrinkles are evident, neither women have any of the deeper folds or sagging in the skin, which you would expect for older women. I would suggest that both actresses may have had non-surgical treatments such as Botox and Dermal Fillers, to help combat lines and wrinkles, as well as a skin regenerating treatment like Dermaroller, which can significantly improve the appearance of smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
“Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz all joined Meryl Streep and Glenn Close in wearing the plunging strapless trend. Dermaroller is a great choice if you’re planning on wearing this style, as it can be used on the décolletage area as well as the face and hands. The treatment provides advanced micro-medical skin-needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate collagen and repair itself naturally and safely. It’s a great treatment for women of all ages and will help to reduce the appearance of sun damage and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.”
