Kate Winslet's star is really shining at the moment, she has finally got her first Oscar win to go with the Bafta and two Golden Globes she has already won this year. To celebrate Kate's win for us Brits we'll show you how to recreate her beautiful English Rose look.
The first step is a beautiful base. Star with a concealer that covers red patches. Benefit's You're Bluffing, £17.50, concealer is perfect for neutralising red patches. Finish with a natural foundation, stay away from the fake tan, this look is all about porcelain looking skin.
Kate uses a warm but subtle colour on her cheeks. Try a cream blush to keep the fresh look, like No7 Blush Tint Cream, £10.00 in Clove. Smoothed on the apples and blended outwards for a brilliant blush.
Use a neutral shade on your eyes and then add a pink colour on the outer colours. We love Bourjois Little Round Pot Eyeshadow in Rose tentation 34, £5.86. Line above the top lashes and below the bottom with a soft brown pencil like Rimmel Soft Khol Kajal Eye Pencil, £2.93 in Sable Brown to give your eyes subtle definition. Complete the look with a couple of coats of black mascara, try Maybelline's Volume Express Mascara £4.88 for flirty fluttering lashes.
For brows that frame the entire face like Kate’s, groom and build brows into a thick, angular arch using No7 Beautiful Brows Pencil, £7.40. This also has a handy brush for grooming.
Kate’s delighted smile is perfectly accentuated with dark pink lips. Achieve the same full look by firstly lining your lips using a lip liner that matches your lip colour. Use No7 Perfect Lips Pencil, £6.60 in plum, then fill in the rest of the lips using a lip brush and 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick, £3.71 in Heatherberry to paint on the colour evenly.
Award winning beauty if we do say so ourselves!
