Fashion is going futuristic this summer, so why not sample some funky space age beauty looks as well?
After Fendi, Balmain and Giles all gave us some fab looks for SS09, we were bowled over by John Galliano's show for winter, where futuristic glamour really was the main theme of the show.
Although this may seem like a weird trend to champion in the hot weather, we can really see the appeal of frosty eyes on long summer evenings, as you go from the beach to the bar each night.
It may be wishful thinking, but hey- it's good to dream and if you get away this summer, then this really is a trend to bear in mind, especially if you decide to inject some colour into the works.
Aqua blue and green are set to be massive, when teamed with bronzed skin and nude lips this summer, and looked fabulous when seen on Gucci's catwalk this season too.
Go for the wet look style eyeshadows, as opposed to the powder styles, as these have more staying power and arguably look much sexier as well.
To work this beauty trend you need to have flawless skin, and as the summer hots up it will be tempting to simply ditch the foundation altogether.
So, our top tip is to go for a tinted moisturiser, which will still give you even coverage but not be as heavy on your skin.
