Jennifer Aniston and her hair have been a constant talking point, ever since she was awarded the honour for cut of the decade, for her 'Rachel' style in hit TV show, Friends.

Ever since then, her character has experienced many style changes that have been reflected off screen in Aniston's personal life. When she first landed her breakthrough role, her hair was pretty plain, in a mid-length style and coloured a mousy brown colour.

However by the beginning of season two, the 'Rachel cut' was born; a choppy feathered style, which worked in lots of volume to the roots. It was copied the world over, rocketing Aniston to superstardom and as such a hair icon was born.

Over the next few seasons, her hair became synonymous with the character and she experimented with hair extensions, highlights and a funky side fringe.

In addition to this, she also single-handedly managed to make straighterners the must-have item for women all over the world, when she unveiled her poker-straight locks for the remaining seasons of the show.

However, not all her looks have been successful. In series seven Jennifer had her hair cut into a very short and unflattering bob, which made her angular face look really out of proportion.

Thankfully, she had the sense to grow it out and added some caramel and honey highlights to her look for the last two seasons of the show. Since Friends ended in 2004, Jennifer has had the sense not to experiment too much, as she knows long hair suits her.

For her role in Bruce Almighty, she sported a wavy darker look and the same style reappeared in Along Came Polly. However, for The Break-Up and Marley and Me, her hair was much brighter, curlier and she had a full fringe cut in.

However, recent pictures that have surfaced of the star show her with newly-lightened hair and her poker straight style has also returned. She also looked stunning on the recent cover of GQ posing nude, with nothing but a tie and her long locks preserving her modesty.
