If you're looking for something simple but oh-so-effective to glam up you christmas party looks this year, look no further than the magnetic nail varnishes by Nails Inc.
Available in Houses of Parliament (deep purple) or Trafalgar Square (rich silver) this is the latest nail art trend that will have you stunned every time you use it.
Though it looks complicated to achieve, it could not be more simple as this little product does everything for you. Take a little look as to how you can get the look:
You will need:
A protective base coat
Nails Inc. magnetic polish of your choice (I used Houses of Parliament for this manicure) available from Amazon.co.uk
Clear top coat
So...
1. To start, take the time to prepare and care for the nail by using a protective base coat. This will keep the nail healthy and you will also find it easier to apply the polish on top of this.
2. When completely dry, paint your nails with a thin layer of the magnetic polish and leave to dry.
3. When all the nails are completely dry, paint a thick layer of polish onto the nail and hold the magnet on the top of the outer cap of the bottle over the nail. Use the half-moon shaped rest to settle over the cuticle and count to 10 - 15 to allow the polish to work it's magic.
4. Repeat this process for each nail, ensuring that the nail polish is wet when you hold the magnet over it. Do not touch the nail with the magnet as this will ruin the effect of the manicure.
5. When the polish is dry, add a clear top coat to protect the effect of the nail and to add shine to the overall look.
Handy hints:
When applying the base coat of the Nails Inc. polish, make sure you apply a nice even coat. Although it specifies to apply a thin coat, depending on the length of your nail and style of application it can appear a little translucent. Ensure you get a nice even coverage.
Don’t rush to apply the thick coat and to get the magnet over the nail; if you do there is more chance of ruining the manicure by touching the nail with the magnet.
As long as the nail is wet, the magnet will do the rest…
