In LA being trim, toned and in top physique are essential, but here at FemaleFirst we have tried and tested every diet going with no success.
So, when we heard that the secrets behind celebrity diets had been revealed we dropped everything to have a look and quite frankly we were shocked.
Apparently a top diet to hit Hollywood is The Cookie Diet. Sounds too good to be true? Well, according to our sources celebrities are replacing breakfast, lunch and dinner with cookies. This means they are only consuming 800 calories a day, which is below the recommended daily average for both males and females. But according to the creators of the cookies they contain all the nutrition needed for a day. Even with celebrity fans Sienna Miller and Mandy Moore to convince us, chocolate chip cookies all day - enough said.
Next we have the latest diet craze - The Baby Food Diet. Yes, baby food is back on the menu in LA. But before you head out to the supermarket to grab a basket full of rusks, move down the aisle to the baby mush. To follow this diet you will be dining out on three meals a day of organic baby food. Celebrities to have tried and even lost a few pounds on this diet are amongst Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.
Next for anyone with a sweet tooth and bucket loads of determination is The Maple Syrup Diet. Famously, Beyonce Knowles used this diet to slim down for her role on Dream Girls. The bootylicious star lost a stone and a half in two weeks! The diet consists of a detox drink made from maple syrup, lemon juice mixed with water and a pinch of cayenne pepper. This replaces all meals for a maximum of ten days but it has been known to last up to a dangerous thirty days.
Finally, not for the faint hearted we have The Leech Therapy Diet. Movie star, Demi Moore raves about the treatment which entails lying in a bath of leeches and having them suck on your blood. Apparently the treatment thins and detoxifies the blood leading to a healthier body. Personally the idea of having leeches suck on me is enough to have me heading to the biscuit jar!
