Hilary Swank will be the face of a new charity campaign by hair experts Pantene.
Beautiful Lengths aims to support and encourage women who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.
A recent study revealed that 58 percent of women consider hair loss to be the most dreaded side effect they face when undergoing chemotherapy.
Eight percent of these women are at risk of avoiding potentially life-saving treatment.
Pantene has partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to launch Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a campaign that encourages people to grow, cut and donate their hair to create real-hair wigs for women who've lost their hair due to cancer.
In addition to providing real-hair wigs for free to women in need, Pantene has also made a $1 million donation to the EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund.
Hilary will front the campaign from next year.
