THE COLLECTION
An explosion of prints, chiffons and intensely dazzling accessories, PPQ design director, Amy Molyneaux, takes her clients on a sexy voyage to the French Riviera.
The palette and Pucci-esque prints scream 60s but the tiny bikinis and cover-ups have a little 70s sauciness to them as well. Inspired by the 60s twist, masses of hair with lift and section definition were key to creating the hair look.
The result was a sexy up-do falling like a 60s A-line bob with a bouncy under-tuck.
Spring Summer 2013 at PPQ is definitely going to be a hot one.
THE HAIR
1. Prep hair with ghd Style Root Lift Spray. Use the ghd air to create smooth yet voluminous hair, training the roots up at the top of the head.
2. Starting on the right side, use the ghd Tail Comb diamond section from recession to top of ear (section should be approx. 2.5inches wide). Repeat on the left side.
3. Use the ghd Gold Classic styler to bevel the hair from the root and create shine on the outer layer of the hair. Next apply ghd Style Final Fix Spray to the sides of the hair so it is shiny and sleek all the way back. Secure in a pony near the crown. Repeat on the other side.
4. Split the lower section of hair into two (up from the nape) then repeat step 3, taking care to use less ghd Style Final Fix Spray this time round for less shine. Tie just above the first ponytails.
5. Use a ghd Tail Comb to backcomb the top section of hair in horizontal sections, starting from the underside and secure at the crown above the other elastics.
6. Plait all the ponies together in a four way rope braid, and then place a small donut over the base of the braid. Pin the plait beneath the donut and secure with pins.
7. Attach an elastic faux hair ponytail over the donut ensuring mesh is well hidden. With the ghd Gold Classic styler, bevel ends under and pin for a large under-tuck look. Remove pins when hair has set.
8. Mist ghd Style Final Fix Hairspray to keep flyaway hair down, whilst creating a very polished finish.
