Looking after your skin doesn't have to be expensive. Check out these simple homemade skin product recipes and turn your bathroom into a luxury spa and treat yourself to a bit of pre-festive pampering.
Revitalising Fruity Face Pack
Mix together 1 soft banana, 1 tsp. Olive oil and 1 drop Orange essential oil.Smooth over face and leave on for 15 - 20 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water and smooth on lots of moisturiser for a radiant glowing face.
Gentle Exfoliator for Sensitive Skin
Soak a few slices of cucumber in a cup of water for at least 2 hours.Then mix some oats into the water and add ¼ a cup of milk and a drop of olive oil.
Spread over the skin and gently rub the mixture to exfoliate.
Continue to scrub skin in a warm shower until all mixture has rinsed away.
Sweet Honey Mask
Put a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores.Smear honey all over your face- feels a bit sticky and horrible but the results are worth it.
Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.
Natural Moisturiser
Mash up some ripe strawberries.Mix together 1 tbs of olive oil, 1 tbs of coconut oil and 1 tbs of vegetable oil and add to strawberries.
Break open a Vitamin E tablet and add the contents for an extra boost. Store in fridge for up to 6 weeks.
Homemade Wrinkle Cream
Mix together 2tbs of Vodka, 1 tbs of fennel seeds and 1 ½ tbs of honey.Drain off the seeds and apply the liquid to face as a toner.
Invigorating Veggy Masks
Mash up either cooked carrots or ripe avocado with some honey.Apply to face and leave for 10 minutes.
