Being a pony lover is officially cool again, as the equestrian trend takes it up a notch and moves into the world of hair and beauty for spring/summer 2009.
Funky plaits, bow accessories and hairnets are being tipped to grace your barnet in the next few months, while beauty looks remain refreshingly plain for this trend.
Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller and Chloe Sevigny are big fans of the plaited hair-do, whether it's a relaxed side plait, a plaited hair band or a plaited swept up-do.
Glowing skin, coupled with dramatic eyes were seen on Temperley London this season, while Luella styled her models with minimal make-up and flushed cheeks for her show.
Both designers did however focus on plaiting their models hair in various different ways, with Luella using a high plait fixed in place with a orange net bow.
She also took it one step further by showcasing what looked like riding hats, decked in brightly coloured silk. Temperley on the other hand focused on recreating a 'dressage' show look, by tucking a big plait into a bun at the base of her models' neck.
Remember the jodhpur trend a few seasons ago, where we all thought it probably wouldn't catch on? well, this is a similar thing really except this time it's more prominent as an accessory.
