Perfecting your make up is tricky enough at the best of times but when you have to do it at your office desk before rushing to the work party takes the difficulty to a new level.

FemaleFirst has sorted through our make up bags to bring you the essential kit for desk to dancefloor beauty.

First things face, face wipes, clean your day make up from your face so you can start from scratch. there is nothing worse than putting make up on over make up, unless you like that cakey feel.

If you don't want to mess about with mascara then try false eyelashes. They have never been easier to apply and will add a special touch to your look. You can go really dramatic with feathers on the lashes or just build up a bit of thickness with plain black ones.

If you'd prefer for your lips to be the key feature of your look, then bring no more than a red lipstick. No messing about with gloss and lip balms a slick of classic red lippy will give you a real Hollywood glam look.

In the morning twist slightly damp hair into a bun, come 5pm untie the bun and use your fingers to gently brush through your hair to give you sexy, loose curls.

Add a couple of sweeps of pink blusher and give yourself a spritz of breath freshener and you are good to go without having left your desk.
