Move over Angelina Jolie - Little Britain star David Walliams now officially holds the title best female lips, according to a study released today.
The poll asked 1,000 people to choose from a selection of twenty male and female celebrity lips. However survey organisers Pepsi Max added red herrings into the female selection, including David and Dead or Alive frontman Pete Burns.
The Little Britain star topped a table of ten celebrity lips, gaining well over a third of the vote Big Brothers recently departed housemate Chanelle took the second spot in the female category, pushing Angelina Jolie to a surprising third place. The reality star was also shunned by respondents from her home town of Yorkshire whose residents preferred overall winner David Walliams and Angelina Jolie.
Supermodel Kate Moss came second to last, with only her close mate Gossip rocker Beth Ditto scoring lower.
It was a bad result all round for Brangelina - Brad Pitt was beaten to the top spot in the mens category by British heartthrob Jude Law, and Simon Cowell secured an unexpected second place.
Chanelles on-off Big Brother love interest Ziggy was panned in the poll, failing to win even 1% of the vote.
Commenting on the findings Pepsi UK Marketing Director Bruno Gruwez said: We were very surprised by the findings. There will be some mortified men out there when they realise that they are effectively more attracted to David Walliams than beauties like Jolie and Moss.
According to 65% of respondents the most important quality in determining lips attractiveness was shape, followed by smoothness and plumpness.
Pepsis Taste campaign, fronted by the new lips logo, is asking the public to send in short videos describing how Pepsi makes them feel in order to win one of 50 £1,000 prizes.
