It seems that cabin crew members may be the most vain workers with them topping the table of professions requesting cosmetic surgery according to The Birkdale Clinic. The air hostesses mainly opted for breast enlargements.
Cabin crew were followed by female business owners who favoured Botox and abdominoplasty (tummy tucks).
Next on the list were housewives followed by public relations executives who again went for non-cosmetic treatments like fillers and Botox. Students completed the top five.
The final five professions were firefighters, beauticians, receptionists, upmarket retail managers/assistants and hairdressers.
Marie Jenkins, patient coordinator at the Clinic in Crosby said: "It is really interesting to see the mix of different professionals who come into the clinic.
"Out of those clients who requested surgery in the last year, there were most who worked as cabin crew. We found that they were keen to keep as polished as possible and many doing long-haul flights had the time to have a procedure and recover from it before they were back to work again."
Firefighters also turned to the non surgical procedures like Botox for hyperhidrosis where Botox is injected in the underarm to help stop sweating.
"We had a number of firefighters coming into our Rotherham clinic to have Botox to stop sweating - and we even had to put on a special clinic for them out of normal surgery hours!" said Marie.
And she added that the clinic was surprised by the number of college and university students requesting procedures.
"We have a number of young women, who are leaving college or starting university who come to us wanting a new look for a new chapter in their lives and again this is mainly breast augmentation."
