The sultry smokey eye look is perfect for the festive season; with celebrities like Eva Green and Natalie Portman all firm favourites of this look.
The smokey eyed look can be taken flawlessly from day to night which is perfect for any Christmas parties coming up. The key to achieving this look is good blending and making sure that the colours you choose complement each other.
Apply a base shadow to lock in colour before applying liner to the upper and bottom eye lash line. Smudge the liner to create the smoky effect, and then blend a lighter shade from the inner eye into the middle.
Using an eye shadow brush start to blend the darker shade, begin at the outer lash line up to the crease of the eye. Finish the look off with a couple of coats of volumising mascara.
Just like Bond-girl Eva Green, the key colours to use this season are black and grey, but also try jewel-toned shades like emerald green, violet purple and deep blue to really stand out.
