If you want a Christmas kiss under the mistletoe then getting the perfect pout is a must.
This season is all about bright colours on the lips. Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera have championed pillar box red lips but thanks to girl of the moment Cheryl Cole, bright pink lips are having a bit of a moment too.
Before applying anything to your lips you want to make sure they are in top condition by buffing them to remove any dry skin. You can use a toothbrush for that.
Next, apply a moisturising product, like Vaseline, onto the lips, to stop them drying out.
Now is time for the colour. While lips are still moist apply the lip colour. Red works best for blondes, ginger girls take a leaf out of Nicole Kidman's book and try an orange or nude shade and brunette ladies try bright pink.
Apply one layer then blot and put on a second coat for extra oomph.
Finish the look with a coat of clear gloss for a really kissable pout.
