Clinique has announced its partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital for the KISS IT BETTER appeal which is to help raise money to fund researches into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer.
Carmel Allen came up with the idea for the appeal after her daughter Josephine was treated at the hospital for Neuroblastoma which is a type of cancer. After months spent at the hospital Carmell decided she wanted to do something to help and so then devised the appeal.
'Kiss it better is something every parent says and does when their child is sick or injured. I wanted to turn Josephines experience into something positive and to help make a difference to the lives of children with cancer,' says Carmel.
To help raise funds for the KISS IT BETTER appeal Clinique have joint up with House of Fraser to celebrate the hospitals birthday - Great Ormond street Hospital first opened its doors on Valentines day, 1852.
Throughout February 2008 any Clinique lipstick or lipgloss sold at House of Fraser stores nationwide, £2.00 will be donated in total to the KISS IT BETTER appeal.
TV presenter Kirsty Young said: 'I am so proud to support this fantastic campaign. I urge all to take part and help support Great Ormond Street Hospital's very important research into childhood cancer.'
