Boobs are at their biggest yet

British women's boobs are getting bigger than ever according to Debenhams.

The store said that changing body shapes, more accurate measuring techniques and the increasing popularity of plastic surgery are fuelling sales of larger bras.

Debenhams specialist lingerie buyer Sharon Webb said: "Some of the increase has undoubtedly been due to poor bust measuring techniques in the past - our results show that many women are often between one and two cup sizes larger than they realize."

"In addition, women now have their bust size measured more frequently as they grow older, taking into account the changes in body shape which occur because of pregnancy, age and weight gain."

Research has shown demand for bras in a G cup or larger has soared and the average bra sold is now an entire size bigger than it was just five years ago.

The average size has jumped from 34C to 36D with many more customers now regularly asking for sizes G, H and even J, Debenhams said.
