Save: Palmer’s Cocoa Body Scrub
I’m a big fan of Palmer’s products and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. It promises to exfoliate, refine, polish, moisturise and smooth and I’m happy to say it did all of these! It smells delicious and I couldn’t wait to use it. There is just the right amount of exfoliating beads in there and it’s not too thick and gloopy, it just seems to soak into your skin. It exfoliates without being too harsh and leaves the skin beautifully smooth and you smelling gorgeous. It’s definitely a staple for any beauty regime and for £4.99 you really can’t say no!
Splurge: L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Scrub
I was expecting big things from this product, with it being £22 I was hoping that it would be everything I wanted from a body scrub. Although it did leave my skin super smooth, I wasn’t that keen on it as a whole. The smell reminded me of baby lotion and it isn’t a smell I’m particularly keen on so that turned me off it a little. As I said, it exfoliates wonderfully but I found it a little too harsh and it left my skin red and a little blotchy. It didn’t seem to moisturise my skin as well as the cheaper product and when I applied the scrub it seemed to sit on the skin rather than sink in. Both products left me superbly smooth but since this product carries such a big price tag, I don’t think I would be prepared to stretch!
