Another Met Gala beauty trend that we have to take not of is super sleek hair.
Whether hair was worn loose or pulled back it was glossy and not a single strand was out of place.
Beyonce pulled hers back into a ponytail with her embellished and featherd Givenchy Couture gown. It was the perfect balance to make sure all focus was on the detailing of the dress.
Gwyneth Paltrow wore hers slicked back into a low chignon to work with her futristic Prada mini.
Rooney Mara once again left me in awe with her gothic style, sleek hair and then a beautiful barely made up face. Her makeup always manages to look so fresh.
Anything other than sleek would have been a disaster with Christina Ricci;s Thakoon frock. Whilst she may not have a great deal of height she wore her gown with supermodel stature - definitely a standout moment from the evening.
Shailene Woodley also opted for a sleek pony, which finished her Christopher Kane gown off perfectly.
January Jones' sleek bob was mesmirising. Not a single hair moved out of place and I've never seen so much gloss. It was the perfect style to finish her Altier Versace gown.
Top tip for wearing this look: Finish it with plenty of hairspray and carry a small can of it with you. If you use gum or wax to touch up the look you'll end up with an incredible amount of product build-up the next day.
