Laura's products are all baked, which means that they have an amazing texture that blends wonderfully on the skin, and they don’t crack or break when dropped on the floor like most other powders or compacts!
What's your favourite look for this season? Any tips on how we can achieve this?
I love a bold, colorful eye – in deep rich jewel tones, especially. My Baked Eye Shadows can be applied wet for intense impact, I’d recommend using Eye Rimz Baked Shadow as eye liner for a really sultry effect. If you do opt for a strong eye however, apply a neutral face and lip for balance.
You cannot go wrong with rich, neatly applied eye liner. Accent the eyes with glistening hues of gold and bronze shadow paired with a deep red lip and you’ve got a very classic and sophisticated holiday look.

Quality makeup brushes are a great investment. As for something I always have on hand? Vaseline! It’s a great makeup remover and is perfect in a pinch to swipe over teeth – they will appear whiter and glossier-looking instantly.
What's the one product that you couldn't live without?
My Balance-n-Brighten! In one fell swoop, my entire face is wrapped in all the color and coverage it needs [and deserves!]. It’s complexion perfection in a compact.
What is your ultimate beauty tip?
The three E’s of course! Never forget to address your eyebrows, eyeliner and eyelashes. If you only do these three things, you’ll still always look polished and perfect. The eyes frame the face, add personality and are the ideal focal point for playing with color. If they’re neglected, it’s noticeable.
If you only had two minutes to do your make-up in the morning, what would be the regime?
I usually DO only have two minutes in the morning before driving my son to school! I have perfected this routine. Getting a gorgeous start to the day when there is no time for a “full face” of makeup starts with a shimmery, moisturizing layer of Spackle, a healthy-looking swirl of blush for the cheeks and a burst of color on the lips and, of course -- a fabulous pair of sunglasses. It’s out the door we go with instant polish! No need for concealer or eye makeup, it’s the perfect little secret.
What new beauty trends can we expect in the New Year?
I think the lash craze is here to stay in 2012. Glossy, lush, long lashes work for all occasions and are so feminine and wearable.
Which celebrity's make-up do you think always looks stunning?
I recently learned that Tea Leoni is a fan of my products, which was a huge compliment in my opinion. I’ve always thought of her as the epitome of Hollywood beautiful – naturally gorgeous, but knows just how to subtly glam it up when necessary. Perfection!
Which celebrity would you like to give a make-over too?
I think Lady Gaga… she has a unique look and is incredibly creative. I would love to work with her and have her challenge my make-up artistry skills and creativity.
Who is your ultimate beauty icon?
I had the privilege of working with so many beauties over the span of my career. Audrey Hepburn is a real standout for me; what an incredible woman, both inside and out. That’s what makes an icon.
