Red lips are back. Bright, punchy shades that look glamorous and classic. I love a red lip. Gucci had the perfect shade, that means you won't have to wear anything else on your face. The best tip I can offer though, is to apply red lipstick before anything else, you will find that you don't need as much make-up with it.
Bright eyeshadow is a perfect match for the brightly coloured wardrobe we will all be sporting this season and they look amazing no matter what colour eyes you have, because you only have to wear colours that will compliment them. Blue eyes should wear lilacs, pinks and silver. Green eyes wear blue shades and high gloss golds. Darker eyes stand out with greens or blues. Either use shadows to cover the lids, or a flick of liquid eyeliner can be just as dramatic. Look to Derek Lam for inspiration.
Seventies frizz is all about making an impact. This hair requires serious confidence to pull-off, you need to hold your head high to wear this style. Start with curling your hair with the straighteners or tongs and then brush it through, to get this managed frizz. Clip it down at either side or wear a headband around the head for full effect of the frizz that sticks out from just above the ear. Marc Jacobs eat your heart out.
Who wouldn't want beautiful, dewy skin that looks effortless and natural? Skin that glows is something that we strive for on a day-to-day basis and usually use a load of products to get this. My favourite is MAC Strobe cream. Apply underneath or on top of make-up along the cheekbones, up to the temples and down the bridge of the nose. Beautiful glowing skin at its best.
Long gone are the dark, rounded nails of the winter. Bright, gloss and long are the way forward. Whether you go for false nails or natural, make sure they are painted in the brightest colour you can find. If you're not the biggest fan of the smell of nail varnish Revlon have come up with an ingenious idea of nice smelling nail varnishes, in the brightest colours you can find. Neon yellow anyone? My favourite colour has to be at Dior, the perfect shade mixed between coral and orange. They painted it on long, oval shapes that would make Lady Gaga jealous.
What happened to the unkempt eyebrows, that so little of you dared to do? Eyebrows are still thick, but more structured and defined. The models at Vera Wang had this done to perfection, so take inspiration and invest in a new eyebrow pencil, shadow filler or clear mascara to tidy them up. Get them tinted if you have dyed your hair, get them a couple of shades lighter than your hair, to be perfectly natural.
We all want that Blake Lively look, hair that's loosely pinned and falls onto the face, without actually looking like its supposed to be there. Adorable and sexy at the same time. Problem is it seems to take hours to achieve that 'it only took five minutes' look. Kirby grips are your best tool, scrunch hair as you dry and clip bits back. Let pieces fall out naturally to achieve the perfect look.
Hair clips are an easy way to add a little bit of glamour to an outfit. Plus they can help disguise a bad hair day. Just clip hair back, or up into a top-knot add a fancy clip and you have a style that mimics hair seen at Rodarte.
