Metallic eyes at Kenzo SS09
As the summer draws closer, we hope, a new beauty trend gets ready to touch down as this summer we'll all be going metallic.
This look is perfect for the summer as gold and bronze hues look great on a tan and great a real luxurious effect. Giorgio Armani and Kenzo both used this look in their Spring/Summer 09 shows but kept the style a bit disheveled and carefree.
Instead of taking care to create a perfect almond shape with your eyeshadow keep it minimalist with just a small touch in each corner of the eye. This, particularly with a silver colour will open up your eye.
Use a differ net colour on the rest of the eye to compliment the metallic shades. Pinks or blue shades work with silver and purple or brown looks best with gold and bronze corners. Finally finish with a nice slick of black eyeliner.
Keep skin matte and use a natural looking colour on your lips. As your eyes will be so dramatic the rest of your face should be pared down.
