Girls Aloud prove that curly girls rule

Just a few years ago poker straight locks ruled and we couldn't leave the house without smoothing our straighteners over our hair but times change and thanks to the likes of Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole and Lauren Conrad tumbling curls rule.

After years doing everything we can to make our keep our hair sleek and straight how can we reverse this and tease some curls in?

Stylist Gary Ingham (020 7431 0777) explains that the key is in rollers! Gary says: "For tumbling curls, use a good curl enhancing product to start and then take lengths of damp hair and twist onto Velcro rollers through the top and sides for volume.

"If your hair is straighter, use twisted sections on rollers all over. Allow to dry naturally, then lightly back-brush the hair away from the face. Don’t brush the lengths - simply break up curls gently by raking with your finger tips.

"Cheryl Cole’s fabulous big hair can be achieved by adding in extra wefts of hair - it’s simple to do and a big celeb trend at the moment. Just make sure they're human hair as some synthetic wefts can't be heat styled. And make sure they match with your own colour so they blend in brilliantly."

We don't even need to brush our hair? Why haven't we caught onto this look earlier?!
