We all know that eating fruit is good for you but did you know that rubbing it on you is just as good? Well it's not as simple as rubbing a grapefruit over your face but you can create a facemask from your favourite fruits to give you a healthy glow.

Florida grapefruits seem to be the celeb favourite of the fruit world with Kylie Minogue and Victoria Beckham singing it's praises. The fruit is high in vitamin C so drinking a glass can help detoxify your skin giving you a radiant, healthy glow that even the best foundation can't match.

Don't fancy eating or drinking right now? Well you can get the benefits without indulging by creating your own grapefruit facemask. Just mix the juice of ¼ Florida grapefruit with one whole egg and ¼ cup of non-fat dry milk powder for a fantastic toning face mask to help banish problem areas and dry spots.

If you're more of a peachy girl then mix together one peach, ripe, peeled, pitted and one egg white in a blender until smooth. Gently pat the mixture all over your face. Relax for 30 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water. The result? Tight skin to rival a baby's.

if you want something a bit more exotic then try a papaya fruit facial. The enzymes in the papaya are great for removing dead and flaking skin, in other words, it is a great natural exfoliator. Purée ¼ of a ripe papaya, 4 teaspoons of green cosmetic clay, and 1 ½ teaspoons of aloe vera gel together. Smooth the mixture over the face and neck regions and leave it on the skin for approximately 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

Who knew fruit was so versatile!
