Everyone, except the very lucky few, gets stretch marks, and although we shouldn’t be ashamed to have them, there’s no harm in preventing them or making them a little easier on the eye.
We’ve picked a cheaper remedy and pitched it against one of the more expensive best sellers to give you an honest answer as to whether you get what you’re paying for!
Save: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Cream for Stretch Marks
This product has been highly praised by its users and it did not disappoint. It definitely improved the appearance of my stretch marks and even if I didn’t have any, I would still use this product for its moisturiser. It made my skin feel so silky and smooth and relieved my dry skin straight away. The consistency was good, not too runny but not super thick. The smell was an added bonus and really lasts all day; it was a pleasure to use and a bargain at £5.39.
Splurge: Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Nourishing Body Oil
This has won two awards and Danni Minogue has be known to use it, so I was expecting good things. I was slightly disappointed at the effect on my stretch marks and they didn’t seem to have any change, but maybe with continued use this would change. For moisturising, however, this product was fantastic; you could really feel it soaking into the skin. It took a while to soak in but once it had, it left the skin silky and the smell is lovely. I wasn’t massively keen that it was an oil, but that’s more a personal preference. It’s pricey at £38, but if you can afford it, it’s definitely a luxury your skin will appreciate.
