Tinted moisturiser
Foundation can be too heavy, especially when it’s hot. So instead, opt for tinted moisturiser. It is lighter than foundation, matches most skin tones and creates a flawless, even look.
Blusher
Nothing perks up a dreary day more than a bit of colour. So use a light pink blusher. Adding a bit of pink to your cheeks highlights your cheekbones and creates a soft, healthy glow.
Gel eyeliner
Whether it is hot or cold, you want something that makes your eyes look bigger and brighter and nothing does that better than a bit of outlining. Applying a gel eyeliner with brush (such as the new Maybelline, Lasting Drama gel eyeliner), can mean easier application and a lighter feeling product.
Mascara
Make your eyes look bold and stand out with long lashes. When the weather it hot, apply a small amount to your top lashes to create a bold look without it being too heavy. By only wearing a small amount come rain or shine, it will leave minimal smudge marks but a smouldering look.
Tinted lip balm
Lips can become cracked all year round, so use a tinted lip balm to keep your lips moisturised while adding some extra sparkle.
You don’t want to look like a clown so keep your make up fresh but natural. If you chose colourful eyes, keep cheeks lightly bronzed and lips natural. If you opt for colourful lips, keep your eyes natural and use a highlighter to empathises your cheekbones.
