We're always on the lookout for quick and simple hair ideas that will look great with the latest trends, but won't mean you have to get out of your warm bed any earlier than necessary to achieve.
The side plait: This was a much loved s/s trend that can be brought into the depths of winter. It's simple, stylish and doesn't take that long to achieve. Depending on what you're doing or where you're going, you can make the style as neat or messy as you like to reflect the occassion. If it's for an evening out, why not add a couple of clips or a headband for extra glam.
The sharp bob: If you're looking for a new haircut for next season then you cannot get much better than a structured Kiera Knightley bob to frame your face. When you have healthy, nurished shine, this hairstyle can look as A-List as the Oscars. Just as waves have been a popular look for the s/s season, the bob is elegant, easy to maintain and so a striking change for the next season.
Beehive: The beehive is back. This was the signature look of the late Amy Winehouse and now celebrities all over the world are taking to the retro look to add body, height and elegrance into their looks. Adele and Lady Gaga are the latest to show of their beehives. Whether you want to go all out 60's or just add a touch to a part-do then this is a great, simple look that can add instant style to an smart/office/evening look.
High bun: The high bun, with the help of the donut, has become a popular look for so many women and we don't see it going anywhere any time soon. Whether you're a preppy girl, fashionista or a vintage lover, this is a basic hairsetyle that you can adopt to suit your day-to-day looks. Whether it's sleek, messy, bits falling down or leaving pieces of hair to frame the face and curling them for added detail.
Wave and volume: You cannot get more simple or natural than going for plenty of curls and wave. You don't have to spend hours infront of the mirror to produce the look, just a bit of backcombing and some volumising spray and you're well on your way.
Ponytail: This is the classic a/w hairstyle. It has always been one of the most versatile hairstyles with the ability to suit so many looks from messy, casual to smart office and sleek chic. With the right makeup a ponytail can look different and stylish for any occasion you're attending or trend your sporting for the coming season.
Brunette: For a real winter warmer, you cannot get much better than a rich brunette hair colour. If you're already blessed with lush brown locks, then adding some red or chestnuts highlights running through the hair will add depth and tone to the look.
Colour: The multi coloured mop has been a big deal this season, with celebs and fashionistas alike opting for more outrageous colours including reds and pinks over the traditional blonde and brunette shades. If you're wanting to show your wild side, you're not going to do it any better than this way.
Full Fringe: Cutting a full fringe into your hair is a traditional a/w look. It adds texture and thickness to the body of the hair and looks brilliant with a ponytail or bun. Make it choppy for an extra edge to the look.
