A new hairstyle seems to have taken the world by storm, asymmetric. First it was our newest style icon, Lady GaGa trying the look and now Hollywood royalty, Angelina Jolie has tried her own version.
It's got a real quirky feel to it and can be done in a variety of different ways.
Lady Gaga's take on the look is a shoulder length section cut bluntly to the right of her face while the rest of her hair is waist length. It takes a brave girl to try this look but there are other ways to try it.
For a smoother take follow Angelina's lead. She swept hair across to one side of her head in a loose, large asymmetric bouffant for premiere of Brad Pitt's latest film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The style was also used in Derek Lam's spring shows.
You can go even more extreme with Lady Gaga though and take inspiration from model Alice Dellal who has really gone for this trend, shaving the left hand side of her hair while leaving the right long. Models at Proenza Schouler also showcased this look.
If you're not feeling as brave as the celeb world there is an easier option, side ponytails, just as much style without half the fuss!
