As lockdown measures begin to ease, many people are choosing to wear face masks while out in public.
Policies on face masks vary from country to country. In the UK and Ireland they are recommended for enclosed public places where social distancing is more difficult, like inside supermarkets and on public transport, but neither governments have made face coverings mandatory yet.
If you're looking for a cool reusable option, look no further – Adidas has just launched Face Cover, a reusable black mask emblazoned with the brand's famous triple stripe logo.
Made from 'Primegreen', a recycled fabric free from virgin plastic, the tight-fitting, breathable masks are designed to help prevent the spread of transmissible viruses and germs.
Available in one size for adults, the masks should be machine washed at 60 degrees celsius.
Priced at GBP 12.95 (EURO 14.33) for three, for each pack sold up until June 30, GBP 2 (EURO 2.21) will be donated to Save The Children's Global Coronavirus Response Fund.
Production of the masks started last month when Adidas reallocated design and supply chain resources as part of its #hometeam initiative, which has also provided masks to medical communities in Europe, South Korea and the US.
Face Cover is on sale now and proving popular already. The first batch has sold out on the Adidas website but the brand says a restock is coming soon.
Research by the University of Edinburgh last week found that face coverings can reduce Covid-19 transmission risk.
The study compared the effectiveness of different types of coverings, both medical grade and homemade, and found that they could all potentially limit the spread of the virus by reducing the forward distance of an exhaled breath by up to 90%.
But the researchers warned that loose coverings are not as effective: only masks that form a tight seal with the face were found to prevent the escape of virus-laden fluid particles.
