If you need to fill a stocking this year and have no idea where to begin, here are a few suggestions to get the ball rolling…
A tangerine- It’s tradition so it’s got to be the first thing on the list, and if the recipient doesn’t like tangerines- you can always give them a Terry’s Chocolate Orange instead!
A pen- This could be a novelty one or something more special such as a personalised pen, depending on your budget.
Deodorant- Not the most exciting of gifts but a useful one at that!
Sweets/chocolate/biscuits/nuts- The classic goodies that should be present in everyone stocking at Christmas, which includes the obligatory chocolate coins.
TIP: Tubes work best as they are the right shape for the main body of the stocking!
Tea/Coffee- Perhaps the person you are buying for enjoys a good cuppa in which case get them some fancy/different gifts to brew up.
Tissues- Another practical gift, yet one that can be made more fun by choosing Christmassy designs.
Travel sized toiletries- These come in handy when you go on holiday or a for weekend away so if the person you are giving the stocking to has a trip planned- these will be well received.
Gift cards/ vouchers- These are perfectly stocking sized and can be loaded with however much money your budget permits.
Wallet cards- A lovely way to remind the person you are giving the stocking to just how much they mean to you. Something they can put in their purse or wallet and enjoy all year round.
A phone case- If their phone case is looking a little grubby, this is the perfect excuse to buy them a new one. Or you could opt for a festive one instead.
A can of booze- Gift them a can of their favourite tipple to enjoy on the big day.
Jams/Chutneys- If they like something special to spread on their toast or consume with their cheese, this is a little breakfast or post meal treat for them to enjoy.
Make up- If you know what brand they use- you could get them a piece from the range. If not and they just like any old lip balm or nail varnishes- you can pop a few generic ones in there instead.
Socks- These can be rolled up tight and squeezed in- and you could opt for a Christmas design or something that is more personal to them.
A bookmark- Ideal for sliding down past the rest of the gifts in there- and perfect for any bookworm.
Cufflinks- The dad gift of the bunch- but one that might just come in handy if he has a special event in the new year planned.
Jewellery- This doesn’t have to break the bank- but some costume jewellery might just be the ticket for someone who loves to bling up any outfit.
A keyring- For the car enthusiast or the person who wants to find out how much weight their ignition can take!
A pack of cards or small game- Something to entertain you all while your Christmas dinner settles and there’s nothing on the TV.
A purse or wallet- If this person’s money holder is looking a little sad- this will be greatly appreciated as a replacement.
A small teddy- One that can be cuddled for the rest of the year.
Happy stocking filling everyone!
