Today Shpock is encouraging people to reuse and resell anything they replaced in the Black Friday sales- so here are some areas to focus on if you did splurge last week.

Minimalism on Female First

Electronics: If you grabbed yourself a tech bargain- it’s time to seek out the item you replaced and recycle it or sell it on. Similarly, if you’ve held onto every gadget you’ve ever upgraded- there is no better time than now to move these on while you are focusing on this section of your things.

Clothes: Perhaps you invested in some new pieces for your wardrobe last week- if so- look through your existing collection and see if there is anything you can take out before you put this new edition into your closet. Use the one in, one out mentality- something needs to leave your space in order to welcome in this new piece.

Books: It’s possible you had your eye on a book you’ve wanted to read for a while and you managed to bag a bargain just a few days ago. This is the ideal opportunity to assess your bookshelf and be honest with yourself. If you sent for this book and are eager to dive right in- which books are you not so elated about? The ones that don’t give you the same urge to start reading are the ones that you can say goodbye to.

Bedding: It’s possible you wanted to give your bedroom a new look with some fresh sheets you had in your Amazon wish list- if this sounds familiar- donate the sheets they are replacing to your local charity shop. What looks old and normal to you- will be someone else’s new and exciting.

Kitchen gadgets: If you invested in a new gadget to make your time in the kitchen easier- there is bound to be something that you can let go of to make room for your new purchase. That slow cooker that never sees the light of days perhaps? Or the steamer that has been in the back of the cupboard for years collecting dust? Do you have another gadget that you never use but know someone else who will? If so, gift it to them- it is Giving Tuesday after all!

Toys: It’s highly likely that if you have a little one- you bought them a new toy or two for Christmas in the Black Friday event. If this is the case, what can you relieve their toy box of to make way for the new purchases? There is bound to be something that they no longer play with anymore and there are plenty of places that will take in toys at this time of year. Your local charity shop or children’s centre are ideal places to drop off things that your child has lost interest in and they are bound to make another little person very happy indeed!

Shoes: If your current pair of shoes has seen better days and that is why you were looking for a discount on your favourite brand on Friday, Don’t leave the old pair lying about the place- make sure that as your new ones arrive- the redundant ones are vacating the premises!
