BOUNTY SURVEY REVEALS the nation finds FESTIVE CLEANING MORE STRESSFUL THAN COOKING christmas dinner!
It has been revealed today that over a third (37%) of Britons find that the most dreaded thing about the whole festive period is the cleaning, according to a new national household survey by the UKâs leading household towel, Bounty. Thatâs more stressful than cooking Christmas dinner, putting up with your relatives or keeping the kids entertained!
Whatâs more, the nation has also admitted some quick and dirty tidying and cleaning habits: With almost half of those surveyed admitting to squeezing clutter into cupboards to hide mess (42%) and only ever cleaning areas guests are likely to discover (49%), the UK prefers to hide the grime than get to grips with cleaning it! Whether they are careless, or simply made of hardy stuff, 90% claim not to worry about germs and bacteria when they are cleaning (89%).

A flavour of Aggieâs Top Tips:
* Make your own homemade polish with three parts olive oil to one part lemon juice, applying with a couple of sheets of scrunched-up Bounty then buffing off with another sheet. * Neutralise odd smells in the fridge by making a parcel of ground coffee in a sheet of Bounty, tie up and leave in a corner of the fridge! * To clean candle wax off a tablecloth, place a sheet of Bounty over the mark and rub over with a warm iron. The grease will come off the cloth and on to the paper. Any residual colour can be rubbed away with methylated spirit and Bounty.
A flavour of Kimâs Top Tips:
* Getting your sink beautifully shiny using just a sheet of Bounty with vinegar, being careful of course to wear gloves as if you have any cuts on your fingers it will sting like mad! * Keep copper bottom saucepans in good condition using household salt and vinegar and rubbing the pan with Bounty before rinsing and drying out with another sheet. * For wooden antiques use beeswax with a sheet of Bounty, rubbing gently to get the best sheen. Remember you should only polish wooden furniture once every two to three months.
Bounty has a unique double quilted structure which means it is really strong and super absorbent even when wet. It can also be rinsed and re-used, making it the perfect household towel for any cleaning occasion.
