Hi Claire, although a lot of rental properties are furnished with Ikea you should check out your local British Heart Foundation Home and Electrical stores.
The stock changes all the time and you can pick up some fantastic unique pieces really cheaply.
- Dear Celia, what colours are fashionable for sofas and walls at the moment?
I never worry about what’s in fashion really, but I am loving silvers, greys and ivory.
There are lots of really glam wall papers around in these colours at the moment too, great textures, metallic, cork, suede as well as many others.
This is a penthouse I recently finished with those lovely colours and the client tells me she finds her home really calm and relaxing.
