Around two thirds of Brits are swapping pubs, restaurants, bars and night clubs for a more economical night in.
New research shows DVDs and computer games are our favourite forms of entertainment at home, with most people expecting to get at least 10 hours of fun from a computer game or box DVD â meaning each hour costs around the same as a pint and a packet of crisps!
New research shows most of us (60%) are ditching nights on the town to save cash and nearly 7 out of 10 of us get just as excited about having a night in with friends as we do about going out.
Whilst DVDs rank top as providing the most entertainment for a group of people, multi-player computer games, especially music ones like Singstar for the Playstation and Wii Music for the Nintendo Wii come a close second.
