1)      You’re working with Viakal on a new campaign, why did you want to get involved?

Limescale is a build-up of calcium carbonate which is found in hard-water areas. It leaves an unsightly chalk-like deposit which can be incredibly difficult to remove if left untreated, so it’s very important to use a good limescale remover such as Viakal which has its own unique formula to give tiles and chrome a sparkling shine.

2)      What’s so great about the product?

Viakal not only works wonders in terms of getting rid of limescale but also protects and prevents a further build up by producing a film that acts as a shield.

3)      What tips do you have for cleaning your bathroom?

  • Storage, storage, storage– it’s very difficult to clean around shampoos and shower gels so put them away after every use especially if you have a big family
  • To create that sparkly hotel feeling, use a wet cloth to clean then polish with a separate dry one
  • Colour coordinate your cleaning cloths – blue for loo and pink for sink
  • Keep an eye out for unsightly, chalky limescale especially if you live in a hard water area and use a good limescale remover like Viakal as soon as you spot any – danger areas are taps, the plughole and shower head (it’s best to unscrew this and soak)

4)      Everyone is pushed for time, so what tips do you have for people to clean their home in a flash?

Most homes spruce up quickly if you are a regular de-clutterer and everything has its place. For those who aren't, make it your New Year’s resolution shoving things in already crammed draws, under the bed, and in the garage because you cannot deal with deciding what stays and what goes has to stop. Remember this, if it’s not beautiful, useful or seriously sentimental get rid of it.

5)      Keeping the house tidy over Christmas is a chore, do you have any tips for people to help with this?

Make sure you have bin liners at the ready over Christmas and you don't let the mess get on top of you. If you are in a family and entertaining, make a quick reminder that for everyone to have a good time, hospitality is about sharing the load and not turning it into a spectator sport.

6)      You’re going to be on the next series of Dancing on Ice, how’s training going? What made you want to get involved with the show? Have you suffered any injuries from the show?

Training is going well for Dancing on Ice 2013 I have to say  I've been making full use of the ice draw in my freezer and am sporting a beautiful collection of bruises. Saying Yes to the show seemed a good idea in September then a very bad idea in October and November but now the wobbles have disappeared I'm loving it and really want to stay in to see how far I can take my new hobby of skating. I would never  in 'real life' have an opportunity like this to be intensely coached and 2 of the world's greatest choreographers Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean craft routines for me. So along with my bruises I am counting my blessings.

Anthea Turner is working with Viakal to raise awareness of the effects of limescale. Viakal is available at all good supermarkets.
