Using the excuse of 'we don't have time' when it comes to exercise is quite a common occurence, but have you ever thought why you don't have enough time.
New research shows that we spend an hour texting everyday, so maybe if we switched our phones for some cardio we'd get much fitter and healthier too.
A new survey, commissioned by new High Intensity Interval Training fitness system, tabata, shows that three quarters of UK women want to get fitter, but 40% of these women say that they don't have the time.
Astoundingly, over half of the women surveyed spend 30-60 minutes a day texting whilst 47% of UK women spend 30-60 minutes a day using Facebook, suggesting women are spending more time on social media than taking care of themselves, despite claiming to want to become fitter and healthier.
Professor Tabata comments: "It's not surprising to hear that people feel their lives are too busy to exercise."
It seems it’s not so much time that’s a problem, it’s our motivation and how we prioritise fitness within our daily routine. Other distractions that cost women 30-60 minutes every day include watching reality tv, reading gossip sites and queuing.
