With Easter holidays upon us at the Italia Conti Arts centre, I have had some time to put into my new home. This week I'm going to concentrate on my garden.
Pull up those weeds, move around some furniture, give my beautiful spring daffodils a home to be proud of. How about you work alongside me.
Not only am I working on re-sculpting your body, but maybe I can help shape your landscape as well?
There is nothing better than seeing results after working hard at something, & by doing household chores as part of your workout, your losing calories AND making your house pretty at the same time! Two birds with one stone ladies!
I need to pull you away from your tv & computers, and get your bodies physically moving to help you lose those calories.
A calorie is a measure of energy, just as a pound is a measure of weight and a mile is a measure of distance. So the amount of energy you exert in doing an activity is measured by the calories burn rate. (I personally sometimes think calories are tiny creatures that live in your closet and sew your clothes a little tighter every night!)
So lets kill them off and get working and make that fat start to cry with sweat! Remember the only way to finish your workout is to start.
As I said before, this week is all about the garden. We need to try to repair some of the damage this cold weather has done to them.
Why not try rescuing some of those spring flowers and clear the beds in the garden 30 minutes is 150 calories.
Mow the lawn for 20 minutes 80 calories
Raking the lawn for 20 minutes 72 calories
Re arrange the garden shed 20 minutes 120 calories
That’s 422 calories just doing everyday garden chores… boom!
Coming in from the garden finish of with 20 minutes of jumping jacks and that’s another 80 calories.
502 calories burnt and a very productive day! Now when you gaze out of your garden window, you can not only be proud of your slimming body, but you can bask in the joy that you will be having some friends over to barbecue this summer, as your garden is now looking super glam ;)
