Millions of men and women moisturise, using anti-ageing serums and seemingly magic potions religiously every day in the search for youthful glowing skin but could our efforts be unnecessary because of the food we eat and don’t eat?
A new study shows that 60% of us don’t eat a healthy balanced diet, with a third of those surveyed saying they eat no vegetables, or only one serving a day, while around 40% eat no fruit or just one piece a day.
Almost half of us don’t think we eat the daily recommend intake of vitamins and minerals, while a quarter of those surveyed by SoBe V Water admit they don’t know anything about vitamins.
So which vitamins are essential when it comes to keeping us looking young, healthy and glowing?
We often hear about magical foods that contain anti-oxidants and have the power to restore our skin to its youthful best, but is there any truth to that and if so what is the current thinking on these foods – berries, chocolate, cucumbers which ones actually do make a difference?
And what are the worst possible foods for your looks? What should you avoid at all costs and which foods are ok in moderation but shouldn’t be eaten more than once a week if you don’t want to look 80 at 30?
