It's the news we've all been waiting for. Women everywhere can rejoice today after a new study has found chocolate can be good for your health! Hurray!
Research from the University of East Anglia, published in the Diabetes Care journal, has claimed chocolate can have positive health benefits.
Researchers have claimed cocoa and chocolate can hold high potential in warding off the risk of a variety of heart ailments along with reducing the risk of Type 2 diabetes, especially in women.
In the past, scientists have been fascinated with trying to prove either health risks or benefits from the much loved food, but not many have been confirmed.
Of course, eaten in huge quantities, it can be dangerous due to high fat content but a large number of previous studies have found antioxidants present in chocolate can be good for preventing the premature aging of skin and wrinkles.
More importantly, it tastes amazing and is somehow scientifically proven to make you feel better (apparantly!)
Now you don't have to feel so guilty about munching all that chocolate over Christmas!
