Hayfever is palguing Brits earlier than usual this year, as we try and fight the allergies.
ChemistiDirect.co.uk announces a 59% spike in sales of hayfever medicines, as a nation of sufferers stock up to treat itchy eyes, scratchy throats and runny noses.
The sales of allergy remedies continue to rise month on month, following a surge in sales in April brought on by smog and Saharan dust.
Brits got their first sniff(les) of summer the weekend before last, with weather reaching a high of 17°C in some parts of the country. The online pharmacy cited that purchases of hayfever medicines have risen by 10% year on year, with Brits stocking up early for what's set to be a scorching summer.
Stuart Rowe, CEO of ChemistDirect.co.uk said; "We know hayfever can take its toll. Even the best of us suffer. As the weather improves, we're noticing that Brits are acting quickly to avoid teary eyes and sniffles" .
