TV presenter Beverley Turner is advising to ditch workouts in the gym and start swimming.
The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), the Governing Body of Swimming, has launched Swimfit – a fun and effective swimming session which aims to encourage existing swimmers to take a fresh look at how they spend their time in the water, and for new swimmers to take their first dip of the summer.
It is a fun and effective way to get those results you want, and because water is 800 times denser than air, you are most likely to get there a lot quicker than any other workout. Not only is it a great way to get fit, swimming also controls your cholesterol level, reduces your blood pressure and it increases your energy.
Almost 50% of women admit to gaining weight whilst on holiday with 1 in 3 consuming an additional 500 calories. At just 20 minutes long, this condensed exercise plan is the perfect guilt free pass to indulging on holiday and helps burn up to 200 calories with minimal impact on your rest and relaxation!
