Binky Felstead has become the first person in Britain to sign up to the ‘Decafflon’: a new challenge to encourage the nation to give up caffeine for 10 days.
The Made in Chelsea star is calling on others who also have a soft spot for caffeine to follow in her footsteps by becoming fellow ‘decaffletes’ and ditching caffeine from their diets from 24th March to 4th April.
As someone who’s used to catching up over a coffee (or five) at various Chelsea hot spots, Binky decided to take on the challenge to test her willpower and take a break from Britain’s caffeine craze – well, for 10 days anyway.
To prove her dedication to the cause, and officially launch the caffeine abstinence challenge, Binky today took part in a series of decathlon events with a twist – including performing a long jump into a giant pit of coffee beans.
Binky commented: “The coffee culture in Britain now is something you can’t avoid. Whether it’s catching up the-morning-after-the-night-before in coffee bars on all the gossip or taking a cappuccino break while hitting the shops. Before you know it you’re having caffeine all hours of the day! I got involved with the Decafflon to test my willpower and see how I would get on without my usual pick me up for a few days - the new Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Decaff is really helping me.”
