It may be her husband we’re used to seeing flexing his muscles - but this week Alex Gerrard showed shoppers at her local Tesco that she likes to keep fit too.
Celebrating the launch of her new Shake Weight fitness gadget, the Liverpool WAG put Tesco employees at Southport through their paces.
Designed to look like an ordinary dumbbell, the gadget is designed for women who want to tone their upper-biceps, triceps and shoulders and combat the dreaded ‘bingo wings.’
It uses technology similar to vibration plates to create multi-directional resistance, which is said to increase muscle activity by up to 300%.
Sports Buying Manager at Tesco, Stewart Turpin, said: "We’re delighted that Alex was able to come to the Southport store to show the Shake Weight in action.
"It’s an innovative new product that we think will be a big hit with customers.
"We’ve got a great range of fitness products in store for any of our customers who are thinking about getting fit in the New Year."
