Confidence

Confidence

Everyone should see the greatness you have inside, and sometimes all it takes is a little confidence to make you shine.

Follow these tips and watch your self-confidence improve.

Dress sharp

If you don’t feel confident in the clothes you’re wearing then that will translate into how you carry yourself. Take pride in your appearance and wear clothes that are smart, stylish and most importantly comfortable.

Workout

Getting a good amount of exercise will make you feel better about yourself; you’ll feel more energised and will most definitely put you more at ease with your body. Working out also helps to relieve stress. It’s time to run, jog, kickbox or Zumba your way to a more confidence-filled life.

Be prepared

It’s hard to be confident in something you’ve worked yourself up over or aren’t ready for. So make sure you’re always prepared. Think about things in advance and don’t leave everything till the last minute.

Act positive

It’s one thing to learn to think positive, but when you start acting on it, you change yourself, one action at a time. You are what you do, and so if you change what you do, you change what you are. Act in a positive way, take action instead of telling yourself you can’t, be positive. Talk to people in a positive way, put energy into your actions. You’ll soon start to notice a difference.

Compliment other people

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to complement those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self-confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

Stand tall – good posture

People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self-confidence. They aren’t enthusiastic about what they’re doing and they don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.

Cross something off your to-do list

Most of us are procrastinating on something or the other, get it done first thing and you’ll feel 100 times better about yourself and the day ahead.

Clear your desk

Clear your desk and clear your mind. If the world around you is in disarray this will mirror into your thoughts and actions.
